Adrien, 24 years old, skateboarder from Lille, photographer and "analog goodies" enthusiast.
" I've been riding and "documenting" the Lille skate scene for 7 years now, using old film cameras.
I have developed my work by trying to take as much control as possible over my final image. This process led me to learn how to develop my films and to shoot my photos in darkroom. My practice, my references (photojournalism of the 40's) and my artisanal treatment of the image (choice of film, development method etc...) lead me to a certain aestheticism.
Aestheticism that I had the opportunity to put forward for the first time last year at the Lille bar Do It Yourself by organising an exhibition: "From the grain of the limestone and maybe from the skateboard". This event showed my vision of skateboarding, presenting the lifestyle and the harmony that emerges around the moments of skateboarding life. This small event brought together the Lille skateboarding scene and the accessibility of the venue also allowed me to open the small world of skateboarding to a wider public in a friendly way. "
