" Hello, my name is Ivan Crozon and I live near Paris. I have been working for 20 years as a freelance graphic designer for communication and advertising. I have always kept next to this activity a practice of creative projects (and not digital) for my pleasure: drawing, painting, live model... While developing educational projects for associations, I discovered the creative potential of Fablab machines. I started experimenting with various cutting machines and particularly laser cutting. This allows me to link a digital design conception and to move to a handcrafted realization with an assembly work of wood and its coloring by hand. I like to make a unique object from a digital design.
The laser cut allows a work in low relief because I work in layers of a few millimeters: I often use poplar plates of 3 mm. Some time ago I started a series of skateboards because I wanted an object with a certain flatness on which I would sculpt subjects. The surface of the skateboard functions the limits of a painting but its narrow shape calls for the "off field" which is interesting in graphic compositions. The skateboard as a "pop" object is the ideal receptacle for "pop culture" subjects.
I have currently completed two "Skulptures" that I present to you in pictures but I have other projects in conception."
